[XeTeX] Missing symbols prevent pdf file creation

Hi all,

I found, that for some fonts, which do not have all Latvian symbols, writing 
any of the missing ones ends with failure to obtain pdf file from xelatex! At 
least from Kile I don't see any related errors or warnings, but the file is not 
there after xelatex execution!
What I'd like to get is: skip the symbol(s) or, at best, replace them with 
some special one to indicate the missing...
Any chance?
