[XeTeX] \XeTeXinterchartoks does not work with the url package

Hi,

 

The following example shows that \XeTeXinterchartoks does not work with the macro \url.

How to make it work?

 

\documentclass{article}
\usepackage{url}
\begin{document}

\XeTeXinterchartokenstate=1\relax
\XeTeXcharclass `P=1
\XeTeXinterchartoks 255 1{A}

This is \url{P} an example.

\texttt{P}
\end{document}
