[XeTeX] Current version of XeTeX

We're looking at running some largish documents produced by dblatex (btw,
they just today announced a new version, which supports XeTeX output)
through XeTeX.  We're running this under Linux, and have been using the
version in the TeX Live 2007 distribution.  Is this still recommended
practice, or should we be using a newer version of XeTeX?  (And when will
the "official" release version for this year's TeX Live come out?)
