[XeTeX] xelatex math problem with sqrt

I reinstalled MiKTeX at the weekend as I did have a minor problem with it;
for some reason the update mechanism reported that it could not find the
executable initexmf.exe. Rebuilding the file database and the format files
had no effect. Reinstalling, after removing the previous installation
completely, seems to have cured that problem. I still cannot get PStricks to
work with XeTeX/XeLaTeX in MiKTeX though.

I tried
	
\documentclass{article}
\begin{document}
$\sqrt{x^1_2}$
\end{document}

and this code worked for me too.

That's odd, as Lars Davies just reported that it works correctly for  
him.

You might like to recreate the xelatex.fmt file, in case there's  
something odd or out-of-date about that.
