Hi again, when I've written "as the 'Latex program'" please read "as the 'PdfLatex program'".

Hi,
I was using latex then at some time I converted to xelatex. What I did:
1. Oppened the file in emacs to convert it to UTF-8, now my file starts with
% -*- mode: LaTeX; coding: utf-8; -*-
but I understand this is not really necessary, as it works only for emacs.
2. As I'm using a custom-made document class, I made sure to convert it to UTF-8 too.
3. Right-click on the file > Properties, to set text file encoding to UTF-8, you can do it for the whole Eclipse project if you prefer.
4. I had to edit the file to use fontspec/xunicode instead of LaTeX font packages and a few other changes related to hyperref (it was messing up my bookmarks).
5. Windows > Preferences > Texlipse > Builder settings and set "C:\Program Files\MiKTeX 2.7\miktex\bin\xelatex.exe" as the "Latex program".
6. Right-click on the file > Properties > LaTeX project properties, to set output format to "PDF" and build commands to "pdflatex.exe".
I don't remember having to change anything else. I'm using Eclipse 3.3.2 and TeXlipse 1.2.1.
Good luck,
Flavio
