In d.c.t.t. the same problem arised yesterday: A user had problems with
MinionPro where the Type1-version in the miktex-tree (needed for
pdflatex) got in the way of the otf-version (in the adobe-folder) with
the effect that for some reason the bolditalic version were used instead
of italic.
