[XeTeX] %18 or 18% : incorrect placement of the percentage sign ?

Hi Steffen,

For me it's definitely "%18" (the percentage sign set left  to the  
number).

I checked some Arabic publications I have on my desk, some very old  
and some new,
from egypt, morocco, kuwait and Irak, it seems on all these just as I  
expected, i.e.
the percentage sign set left  to the number!

In some publications the percent sign is not written, it is written  
literally
بالمئة or بالمائة .
