Are you sure that TeX Live's XeTeX 0.996 and unknown version of  
xdvipdfmx support to work with PSTricks? I think only versions of  
both from SVN are capable of this since last summer ... and it looks  
as if

inserts ad2head.tex and pstricks.tex etc. for a second time.

Can you check ad2.tex and black.tex that they are just TeX text  
bodies? The header and footer matter should be found in the TeX file  
that inputs the other files, but I am no TeX expert (I prefer LaTeX) ...
