For me, it compiles fine, but I have the following warning:

Package frenchb.ldf Warning: Add \usepackage{fontspec} *and*
(frenchb.ldf)                \usepackage{xunicode} to the preamble
(frenchb.ldf)                of your document, on input line 3.

which is rather clear...
