When a graphic is placed, it's placed relative to the current baseline  
which you're not taking into account, you need to move up by the cap  
height, then it should work, if not, just add a slight fudge factor to  
the page dimensions, and/or stick the logo in a size  zero picture  
environment which will force it to appear.
