Actually it's only a title, a "nom de guerre." Inside it's  
libfreetype 2.2.1.

The problem is not the version of libfreetype, but that /usr/bin/ 
libtool, now over one year old, is used instead of /usr/local/bin/ 
libtool (1.5.23c) ...
