you can get free wifi access.

For example, you can go to the FAQ cafe (http://www.faqcafe.ru/ ), in 
the Gazetnyi Pereulok 9, a side-street of Tverskaya (here’s a map:

Buy a beer and enjoy free wireless LAN for how long you want. They serve 
good food as well. There are other places as well, depending on where 
you are.
