Of course, for such specialised applications it is still possible to 
say \fontspec{Warnock Pro Display}.

Don't worry, Skia has width and weight axes!
What, you tell me that you can't solve every typesetting problem with 
Skia? :)

I hope that one day the MM format is resurrected, but I don't hold my 
breathe. In fact, considering how MM fonts work (linear interpolation 
between four corner points, except for a few which use more control 
sizes -- I think), I don't consider it impossible that they could be 
reconstructed from the fonts Adobe now sells in four optical sizes and 
several weights.

Gee, I wonder how they managed to so easily produce such a large range? 
Could it be they're still using MM fonts to build their OpenType Pro 
fonts?

Ah well.
