Not urgent, but a nicety. Reasons to manually adjust optical size not
matching output size:

  - reversing out type --- use a smaller optical size at a larger size
(say the 8pt. design at 10pt.) to strengthen fine lines.

  - type set in a light colour --- ditto, plus the larger lines can
bring things up to a point where registration problems are eased
somewhat

  - matching some other type --- if used w/ a fine, delicate sans (say
Optima) it's often good to use a larger optical size of the text type

Can anyone tell that I really miss Multiple Master fonts?

It's absolutely fabulous and unmatched on other platforms and I too am
very grateful for it.
