[UKTUG-Committee-Motions] Motion re: grant application made by Paulo Cereda

Discussion and voting, 7 days. Last vote on the (amended) motion,  to be 
submitted before midnight on Friday August 20th.

Subject to amendment. I will consider justified requests for the voting 
period to be extended, but do not guarantee to grant them. jay


Motion starts:

UKTUG  resolves to fund the grant application made by Paulo Cereda  for 
hardware to support Island of TeX which is available attached.

The value of the funding is to be the fees paid sterling equivalent of 
BR$   25401 plus or minus 10%.

The grant is to be used for current hardware judged suitable by the 
applicant, not necessarily the hardware specified in the application.

The actual payment will be against copies of  invoices.

comment:

Island of TeX is not a UKTUG project. UKTUG has no legal 
responsibilities for Island of TeX.

Motivation:

The sum offered will not cover funding Island of TeX, and will not even 
cover funding for suitable hardware. It will encourage the Island of TeX 
contributors to build a more widely accessible toolset that the 
committee judges to be of benefit to the wider TeX community, and UKTUG 
members.
