Dear Committee
Both Phil and I have objected to this, Jay's motion on joint
membership fees for TUG and UK TUG, on the grounds of unclarity
and constitutional trespass respectively.
Therefore, I suggest we vote on a redrafted motion, as below.
===
That 2006 UK TUG members be able to join TUG as a joint
member for an additional fee of £31 for ordinary members
and £17 for retired and student members who give
satisfactory evidence of their status.
===
I intend to post this to the motions list just before going
to bed tonight, if there are no objections by then.
However, if Phil finds this motion satisfactory, except for
drafting changes that improve clarity (and do not change the
meaning), I'd be delighted if he posted such an amended
motion to the motions lists.
