My memory is a bit fuzzy, but didn't Jay ask all members for their
opinion months ago?

Honesty is a necessary but not sufficient attribute for committee
members. Committee members not only need to be trustworthy but also need
to be able to manage people and formulate good plans (especially where
there is deep conflict). Blind faith and good intentions won't fix some
problems. A plan of action is essential. I have absolutely no reason to
doubt the integrity of the current committee.
