[Tugindia] difference between Ms word and latex

It's easy to produce a LaTeX doc with pages numbered 1, 2, 3 ...
and Appendix pages numbered i, ii, iii, ...
and a Contents page that lists everything nicely in sequence
complete with page numbers arabic then latin

I was advised that it was impossible to do this in MS Word
(But perhaps they have fixed it since I last tried)
