What is meant by ``kile format'' ? If u want to creat Malayalam files
(filename.mal) using kile, with all the facilities available for *.tex
files, you fo the following

In the configure kile menu, there is an option to add the file types
highlighted by kile. \

You just add *.mal; in that window and enjoy using Malayalam files in Kile
