Subject:	[Tugindia] Removing Tex commands

Is there some utility/program which will help me remove all TeX/LaTeX
commands 9and options) from a LaTeX file ?
I want a plain asciit text file back after the above.

Please guide me.

I posedd this same question to Mr. D Venugopal a LaTeX veteran, he gave a
solution using PDF files...but I am looking for some direct way.

There is a program called detex. The purpose of this
is to enable word count in latex files.
