[Tugindia] section names in lower case

Hello,

I want  all section names in lower case. I am using book style and
with out using fancyhdr, can I change section names to lower case?

I tried following code

\renewcommand{\sectionmark}[1]
{\markright{\nouppercase{\sectionname}\ #1}}

but no effect.

What is wrong?
