Dear Sir,

I would appreciate your help for the following queries related to multi
indexing. Can you please explicitly tell me (by writing the required
commands or so), what kind of changes that I have to make in the style
file "multind.sty" so as to get the following:

     1. Typically, multi indexes are considered as sections. But I want
        them to be chapters. Whatever the headings I give at
        "\makeindex", I want them to be the corresponding chapter
        headers.  
     2. Typically, multi indexing is in two columns. How to get one
        index in two columns and other in 3 columns.

I tried some option with my very little knowledge, but I am not
successful completely. I am eagerly waiting for your reply.
