Are you partitioning by means of a formula or giving the coordinates of

This is a problem of combining some arithmetic with latex. The coordinate
of the center is defined in terms of one of the corners and one of the
length. For partitioning you ned the corner coordinates and length. I
guess it would be possible to write a formula for the center. You need to
know how to combine this formula with latex. Unfortunately I don't know. I
don't even know if it can be done.
