Hi,
To edit Tex file there is kile in Linux. Actually
there is another easy editor to make ps or odf files
in Linux
Lyx is the editor to do all these things type Lyx in
Google u can get a link to the downloading page
install it and enjoy making dvi, pdf, ps and html
files
