Dear Ravi:
You can use \DeclareMathSizes{}{}{}{} command in order to change the
super/sub size. \DeclareMathSizes takes the {text size}{math text
size}{math script size}{math scriptscript size} as arguments and defines
the right \S at . . . macro.
Try below:
%% Add in classfile you are using...before \endinput
%
\DeclareMathSizes{12}{12}{25}{20}
%
% \endinput
If sub/superscript size is enlarged to 25pt then change the 3rd parameter
to your suggested size. By the way, forth parameter is
sub-subscript/superscript size.
