[Tugindia] Multicolumn Package-how placed floats in single column

Dear users,

In multicol package, wide floats placed in multicolumn by using \begin{figure*}...\end{figure*}. 

I  use this following coding

\newenvironment{figurehere}
  {\def\@captype{figure}}
  {}


But figures  are consider as a inline. I expect figure place top or bottom automatically in single column.
