There is a Postscript font and an associated style file called
"marvosym" which has smileys and such things.

Since this is a postscript font you can only use it when you convert to
PS or PDF (though some dvi viewers may also manage to handle postscript


Alexander Graham Bell is alive and well in New York, and still waiting
for a dial tone.
