[Tugindia] new environment

Hello Tex Users,

This is my first post to the mailing list. 

I want a new environment of the form

\begin{exhibit}....\end{exhibit}

that subsumes both 

\begin{figure}.....\end{figure} and
\begin{table}....\end{table}

i.e. the all figures and tables should appear as Exhibit 1 <caption>, Exhibit 2 <caption> etc. This would be great macro for writing a business case.
