Dear Sir

   I want my Chapter No and Its title at the center of page instead of 
flush left in documentclass{report}{12} (In thesis) 
 
i.e 

                              Chapter 1
                          Theory of Plates 

instead of 

 Chapter 1
 Theory of Plates

 How it can be achieved in document class report. I writing a M.E 
dissertation report. Kindly suggest the command structures in the 
preamble. Pl reply at your earliest.
