[Tugindia] Meeting ans Inauguration of the TUGIndia Delhi chapter

Hi all,
 TUGIndia Delhi chapter met formally for the first
time (and thus got inaugurated) on 2nd October, 2002
to chart out a new course. A report was prepared on
the meeting.

Here is a brief outline of the meeting.

 The TUGIndia Delhi chapter (to be called TUGDelhi)
was inaugurated at a meeting held at Maths department
IIT Delhi on 2nd October,2002. A 3-member executive
body was formed which is to be expanded later. 
 Membership will be in a manner similiar to TUGIndia
i.e. free, open membership. A seperate mailing list
has been formed for local and administrative matters
at tug-delhi@sarai.net . A member is also expected to
be subscribed to the tugindia mailing list, which
shall be the main forum for technical discussions.
 Registration of TUGDelhi as a body was discussed.
This could be done later, when required.
 Achievements of TUGDelhi in its past years of
informal existence were also discussed.
 Promotional activities and Developmental activities
were discussed. An outline of the spheres of
development of TeX were discussed. 
specific proposals will be discussed in the mailing
lists.
 TUGDelhi shall have monthly physical meetings.
