[Tuglist] [OT] pic: placing text along the dir. of arrow?

hi,

I am using gpic to draw pictures in LaTeX.  I need to place text above and
along the direction of the arrow.  If the arrow is at an angle then the
text above the arrow is simply showing horizontally instead of aligning at
that angle.  How to do this in PIC?
