Hi!
I'm a newbie at latex so beware ;)
First I tried the CTAN way (their install instrucs) of installing the dev
package i.e. creating local subdirectories and putting ur new stuff there
nd making sure texhash doesnt include them in its ls-R (whatever it is)
database
Whew
It didnt work :(
So I did a "simple" (nd may be dumb) workaround.
Put *all* the stuff (fonts,sty files et al) in one dir in ur home
and thats it !!!
create a new tex file in that dir nd just \usepackage{dev}
and enjoy :)

P.S.
I'm using RHL 7.2
