[tlu] "Update failed" in TeX Live v1.26

Hi,

I keep trying to update texlive.infra and get an error message each time
saying that the update failed. I'm running the TeX 2016 distribution on Mac
10.11.6. According to the log, the error comes as: "2016-08-29 21:06:23
+0000 Error tlu_ipctask[27657] *** ERROR *** exit status of pid = 27658 was
2". I've tried reinstalling TeX Live and it doesn't seem to fix it. My TeX
programs are located in Library/TeX/texbin.
