If the box "Show progress in system log" is checked in the prefs, then TLU's log info will show up in Console.app both in system.log and in All Messages.

But the output is a bit less detailed, it mentions TeX Live Utility instead of the detailed process (like [TLMOperation main]) causing the message, so this may be less useful as debugging info.
