Good idea indeed. Many packages will not have updates, so using the
mirror system works nicely. Well done, and thanks!

I guess you mean from the branch "tags/texlive-2024.2"?

That is a "inconsistency" due to the svn->git mirroring. Tags in svn
are branches in git parlour, (and also can be changed, someting I don't
like).

Also a good point, and github carries the source code.
(another thing that runs via my server, the syncing from svn to my own
git and the github git)
