[tldistro] How are distros handling the ConTeXt change?

I asked this question on the tex-live list, but Karl suggested it
belongs here instead. Now that the context command is a symlink to
luametatex, and the latter is not built as part of TeX Live, I'm
wondering what distro maintainers are going to do. For those who
haven't been following the discussion of this on the tex-live list,
luametatex can be built from the sources at
https://github.com/contextgarden/luametatex/.

My inclination as Cygwin's TeX Live maintainer is to create a new
package, perhaps called luametatex or simply lmtx, that provides the
luametatex binary. The texlive package(s) could then be responsible for
providing the required symlinks and other supporting files. This is
similar to what I do for biber.

What do others think?

Ken
