Indeed. I would have thought of binaries carrying the OpenBSD version
number at the time TL is released, with a short note in bold clearly
stating: 1. that the binaries are *published* only once a year an only
to work with the version of OpenBSD that is current at the time of
publication. So in view of this it may not be advisable to upgrade
OpenBSD before the next release of TL. 2. That further information
given by volunteers who contribute binaries can be found <here>.

Or something like that.

Sad, but, I must confess, also perfectly understandable!

Might another option be to offer the binaries this year on an
experimental basis and see what happens? I wonder. Of course, I
would help as much as I can but I understand this may not be viable,
given the amount of work accomplished each year by so few dedicated
people.

A simpler solution would then be to provide a script to run that would
fetch and install the right binaries...

... or, even more simpler, do nothing...

Many thanks anyway for the time devoted to this discussion!
