It's my understanding that
  * aarch64-linux is gaining popularity
      - in the desktop market, as OS of choice on Apple M1/M2
        hardware (→ Asahi Linux),
      - in the server market, as an alternative to x86_64,
        due to its smaller power consumption for the same load.
  * armhf-linux is popular on Raspberry Pi computers that many
    people use as low-power always-turned-on computer.

In Debian, these are the 3rd and 4th most popular architectures.[1]
