Seems to be a compiler version issue ... the fail happens with older versions
like gcc-7 but gcc-11 does do the job on ppc64le well:

  osc results | grep ppc64le
  openSUSE_Leap_15.4   ppc64le    failed
  openSUSE_Leap_15.3   ppc64le    failed
  openSUSE_Factory     ppc64le    succeeded*
