I would try reproducing it on a system that's using libc++, for example FreeBSD.
(Most notably the two libraries, libc++ and stdlibc++ have different
ideas on how to parse numbers / how to interpret the standard.)

I can't test on our VMs via SSH due to "Error: Can't open display:"
