I have (I have the /* don't copy strange characters */ comment)
but the sources don't seem to be the problem, which may be in the
texk/web2c/pdftexdir/tests/postV7.afm, which still contains a
"strange character" (line 12).  I believe this file is the one to
fix, so that diff runs OK.
