Karl, Thanks for the fix. Removing the updated TeXInfo was easy because I installed it in /usr/local and before that I had wiped /usr/local clean to build TeX Live, just to be sure. I rebuilt because I wanted to test the new clisp. Xindy compiled fine. I got 434 binaries and all tests were passed. Dick koch
