I disagree. As I said, I am using svn 37493 which is the last
code change Jjgod Jiang did:

svn 37495:	Convert tabs to spaces
svn 37494:	Remove unused variable
svn 37493:	Fix a memory leak in the previous commit

and AFAIR TL2015 is based on svn 37493...

So to my feeling, Type1 fonts *should* work in TL2015.
