Like I said, I'm new to TL and was just going with what was in the distro.

If I can't sort this out soon, I'll do that, thank you. Sorry for the

I did, that's why I grabbed this part of the output. I gave more than 
just this line to give context. I asked because I couldn't find 
'poppler-version.h' despite having met the dependencies.

Not being familiar with poppler either, I had hoped it would have been 
provided. I wasn't sure if this was an issue with poppler or TL, so I 
decided to start here.

Indeed, which is why I said "Obviously I can't expect a Fedora 14 source 
to just work on RHEL6". :)
