Ok, I tried it on alpha-linux Debian but it does not succeed:

$ make
...
g++ -Wall -ansi -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64 -DUSEGC  -g -O3 -I . -Igc-7.1/include -o builtin.o -c builtin.cc

$

I tried with -DBROKEN_COMPILER but that didn't help.

Any suggestions?
