[tlbuild] asymptote trials

Karl,

I'm happy we are including asymptote.

While it compiled fine on Intel 10.5, I ran into trouble on Intel  
10.4 with the Knot3 bug you mentioned. The solution

	make GCLIB_CHECK=: CFLAGS="-g -DOMIT_SOLVEDKNOT_DECL"

didn't work for me, but

	make CFLAGS=" -DBROKEN_COMPILER"

did work. Do you understand this; is my alternate fix a bad idea?

I also ran into the "GNU readline" problem mentioned in the Asymptote  
web page; the version of readline on 10.4 was 4.0 and therefore full  
interactive mode was turned off. This problem didn't occur on system  
10.5, which had version 4.2 of readline.

(Aside: when Apple releases 10.6, can we drop support for 10.3 and  
10.4? Please...  ......   Just kidding.)

I haven't tested on PowerPC yet.
