[texworks] spell check on tex works editor

Hi - does anyone know how to get an English spell-checker running in the tex works editor.  I had an old version of tex works as part of an old miktex installation where it had spell-check (very useful!) but in the latest miktex I have downloaded the tex works editor does not have a spell checker.  When you go to "spelling" in the Edit drop-down  it says "none" with no option available to choose one.  In "preferences" under "spell-check language" again it has "None" with no alternative option to choose.
