[texworks] German quotes missing [was: Re: german umlaut in TeXWorks]

I'm afraid correct German quotes are not available in TeXworks, although
the settings dialogue says so. Even the unicode option is wrong. :(

The only dedicated TeX editor which provides German quotes out of the
box seems to be TeXstudio.

I return to Emacs, configuring new Emacs 29.1. You can enter the quotes
you need directly in your .emacs for AUCTeX.
