I can only refer to the German Version oft TeXWorks an try to translate 
them:

in general:

-> Bearbeiten -> Einstellungen -> Tab Editor
-> Edit -> Settings -> Editor

for the current document:

-> Format -> Schriftart
-> Format -> Font
