You appear to be responding to a message that is about a completely 
different issue to your own.  "Compile" is computer jargon -- it is what 
one does to a source program in order to convert it into an executable 
image (or at least into object code), used in this context to mean 
"process using [La]TeX".  Neither issue is likely to be the result of 
TeXworks /per se/, and both might be better sent to a general-purpose 
TeX mailing list such as TeXhax.
